the shins!? indies last real thread hope, and everybody's favourite band...till' they saw garden state. now teh (the) indy crowd is hanging onto b&s' last legs, until b& is featured in the next, calculated stab at indy-romantic comedy
Hmmm,... overly-cynical, ms Julien Gardiner-White (but thanks for your thoughts)!!! Garden state was hardly a "calculated stab at indy-romantic comedy". It was legitamately good. Also, just becomes something is popular does not mean it is bad, or that it is not longer "indy". What "indy" might mean is more likely an ethos than something few people know about.... I mean, few peolpe know about lots of terrible shit, but that doesn't make it indy.
